Terror in Srinagar

The Srinagar bypoll has been repeatedly shaken by violence and has recorded a striking low of 7.13% votes. The army has been booked by the police for using human shield on car to ‘prevent stone-pelters’. However, the military intelligence says that the violence mongers are no ‘angry mob’; rather this is a case of organized violence, supported, backed and funded. Sources say that the separatist groups are trying to ruin the electoral system in Kashmir since 1990; this time they have been successful in causing physical damage.

The army reports mark the presence of 140-150 terrorists in the valley from different outfits. The terrorists have become successful to scare people to stay inside their house and do not execute their democratic right. Political workers have been scared by guns to utter anti-India slogans.

Existence of democracy is at stake in Kashmir due to terrorist activities and an anti-India wave. Now it is to see whether the Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan can be solved through peaceful talk, or the countries will see more bloodshed over the possession of Kashmir.
